In Hinduism, the river Ganga is considered sacred as is personified as the goddess Ganga. She is worshiped by Hindus who believe that bathing in river causes the remission of sins and facilitates Moksha, and that the water of the Ganges is considered very pure. Pilgrims immerse the ashes of their kin in the Ganges, which is considered by them to bring the spirits closer to moksha.
Shiva meaning: Shiva is the “destroyer of evil and the transformer” within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu. In Shaivism tradition, Shiva is the Supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe.
It took me around 6 hours to finish, and I really enjoyed doing this tattoo.
